Do you even wonder if there is a God and if so, does He love you?

Human experience, scientific evidence, and historical evidence lead us to confidently answer: “Yes, God does exist!”

• Human experience: We have God-given consciences. This is how we instinctively know right from wrong and good from bad. For example, murder and stealing are universally agreed upon as wrong, and kindness and generosity are seen as good. Our human experience compels us to believe that truth, deception, love, hate, goodness, and evil are real and meaningful. “He has also set eternity in the hearts of men, yet they cannot fathom the work that God has done from beginning to end.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

• Scientific evidence: “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” (Psalm 19:1) God is the creator of science. Our minds are inquisitive because God made us that way. God is the creator of time, space, and matter. He has no beginning and no end; He is all-knowing and all-powerful. We cannot measure Him and his attributes. He is outside of His creation and is utterly beyond our comprehension, yet because He loves us and wants us to know Him, He has given us abundant evidence of His existence. It is foolish to claim that nothing created everything. It is intellectually dishonest and unscientific to claim that the universe came into harmonious, detailed design from an explosion. The intricate and elaborate design in creation points to a designer. Just like we know that buildings are built by builders, we know that creation must have a creator. “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made.” (Romans 1:20)

• Historical evidence: Archeological, cultural, political, natural, literary, biographical – all kinds of history validate the existence of the God of the Bible. Any honest student of history will see God’s active role in it. Perhaps the most prominent and convincing historical evidence that God exists is that He predicted that hundreds of detailed events would occur hundreds, or even thousands, of years before they happened (this is called prophecy). Every single prediction in the Bible has happened or will happen (with a 100% track record so far, we can count on the remaining predictions to happen, too)! There are over 100 predictions about Jesus in the Old Testament of the Bible, many written hundreds of years before his birth. He fulfilled them all. The odds of one person fulfilling all those predictions with complete accuracy is 10 to the 18th power – that’s a 1 with 18 zeros after it! In other words, humanly impossible. That alone should convince us that the God of the Bible exists, because who can predict the future perfectly except God? This also shows God’s love for us, because He made a way, and at the greatest cost, for us to be reconciled to Him through Jesus Christ: "For this is the way God loved the world: he gave his one and only Son that everyone who believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
